Ah, what a wonderful Monday this turned out to be. First, it is a sunny day. It isn’t like I’m asking for much, to have mostly sunny days in the friggin desert. And then, books galore came in the mail. Tough Times Survival Guide, volume 1& 2, which I had ordered. Molon Labe by Boston T Party, which is a loaner-and just in time as I was thinking about buying it after I finished with the Enemies Foreign And Domestic trilogy ( I read it years ago and then foolishly gave it away ). And a minion’s book ( Doc, if you want me to plug the book and/or your business, let me know ). Thanks to all. I love you man! Also, if you’ve been asleep, alternately bored out of your mind at work ( or listening to the wife, as if she has any real problems ) and in a zombie like trance just waiting for the inevitable pink slip, I’ve started posting my articles at seven AM Pacific time rather than at one PM. This is possible since I’m writing ahead of time. Some morning it might be slightly late, but don’t panic. As far as the comments, I might be overwhelmed some mornings by the sheer numbers. If I quickly scan each one I might miss suggestions. Keep trying if I’m ignoring a good one. And, yes, I am deleting the links to mail order brides and making millions a week.

If I wrote on this before please forgive me. I happened to catch a blurb on National Pravda Radio and then the idea wouldn’t leave my head. Speaking of NPR, they later made such a ludicrous statement it was a wonder I didn’t vomit blood on to the windshield ( I only listen to them while driving, a distraction from idiotic drivers who would raise my blood pressure ), swerve into a phone pole and thus not be writing to you right now. The Great Depression was prolonged because the government stimulus program was halted too soon!!!! Oh, God!!!!! Stop me, I’m laughing hard enough to crack a rib!! ! Anyway, back to business. Chinese loans to the US and our indebtedness. We owe them two trillion bucks. This means we are co-dependant on each other. So goes the modern myth mixed into the pabulum fed to the masses already spoon fed sports contests and American Idol to soften their grey matter. Remember those commercials about some Internet TV company, where the aliens are disguised as Hollywood celebrities and were taking over our brains via said company? I don’t think they were on too long ago, perhaps a few months. The aliens are in fact your friendly banker/government/corporation controllers, and you are being fed nothing but BS. China is about as dependent on us as a credit card company is on one customer.

The US has led a charmed life for three centuries. There was always someone else to exploit for resources. We got a bit spoiled by the overwhelming abundance. All that has been over for some time, and we have been cannibalizing ourselves for decades to survive. China is no stranger to idiots in charge and long periods of abundance, but their worldview also includes calamity and destitution. They have not been blinded by their own invincibility. Every tribe/group/nation feels they are better than everybody else. That is natural. But until you’ve been burned by fire, you think you can play around a lit stove. The US has never seriously been burned. When you think nothing bad can happen to you, you don’t prepare for it. China has prepared. They don’t look at their loans to the US as their salvation but as a weapon against us. They already sell their products to more countries globally in combination than they do to the US, but even that isn’t why they don’t fear our debt or feel controlled by it. The plain fact is that in a pissing contest, China can eat the two trillion while the US is crippled by China withdrawing as a banker.

China has already ceased to loan us much more if anything. Our deficits are increased by us buying our own debt, not foreigners. That alone helps cripple us. Just withdrawing as a continual loan machine. All deflationists are missing the simple point that we are creating money and credit out the wazoo to continue the financing where foreigners left off. China still controls its economy. Not her bankers like over here. In the US, the bankers will squeeze the last drop out of the economy and leave its citizens to die in the cold and dark. And the bankers control the politicians. In China, the government controls the economy and their only goal is to stay in power. The citizens still suffer, but in one system the government dies with the economy and in the other the nation survives. China will sacrifice millions of its own, but still survive as an entity. Even with the end of the Oil Age. China sees oil down clearly. The US thinks money alone will keep the oil flowing. Do you really think China cares about paper currency? They use it to their advantage, but look at Africa. Barter secures their oil resources there. Our only means of persuasion is paper money and military occupation. China offers tangible and much more friendly trade. Yes, our economic Titanic will cause mass disruption in the Chinese economy. But they are used to disruption, not forever more economic growth. It is planned for, baked into the recipe. To China, two trillion of paper currency is a small price to pay for the end of American Empire. All without a messy nuclear war.

Am I rooting for a foreign country? Am I unpatriotic? Do I enjoy the process? I’m only reporting reality. I’ll be glad to see the bankers drown under a sea of their own worthless dollars, but I also realize the cost to you and me. It is going to suck, but being blinded by unreality means you can’t prepare.
