Which brings us to all entitlements ( notice I’m being polite and call welfare payments by their politically correct name ). Not just Social Security, or Food Stamps, or retirement pensions. Everything that is paid with a government check. Look, whatever my personal feelings on the government trough ( and before you get all ignorant and illogical on me, please recall my very recent comments on how my own job is federally subsidized ), the simple fact is that everything from earned to unearned, needed or unneeded, from vital to security to vital for pork barrel spending, everything the government pays for is a check written with counterfeit funds. It is all funny money. As I keep saying, which is always ignored by a certain number of my ignorant sluts reading, being on welfare is just getting Monopoly

Forget Peak Oil or running out of resources. I won’t get into that today. Just look at it economically. There are now far too many people on government checks with no where near the needed amount to pay for it. The gravy train started out rich and uncrowded. Now, everyone is desperately clinging to the sides and there isn’t enough fuel to run it. There will be enough momentum in the train to crush everyone as they fall off. This isn’t about me hating you, nor about you hating me. I think 12% of my paycheck goes to you so you can golf in Florida, you think I’m a cruel bastard out to starve defenseless little old ladies. WE hate each other. Fine. The government has done its job of divide and conquer using our money. Let that go for a second. Return to the real threat. Not my hate, but the fact that your purchasing power is going to shrink down to almost nothing in your lifetime. No matter how loud your wails of distress that you are freezing and eating Alpo, the money supply will be inflated too quickly for any COLA raises to make a difference. The Federals don’t give a crap about you personally. They are busy staying in power. Paying you off used to be in their interests, it was never about being compassionate. Now it is in their interests in paying you off in worthless money. Go ahead, direct your hatred at me since I’m the messenger. Since I didn’t deliver the message with concern and love you will hate me. I don’t care. I get pretty tired of being the lone voice trying to warn of disaster as everyone around me keeps partying. Do you even have six months of grain stored? A whopping $60 with buckets. Under a hundred with grinder.

Monopoly money will be used to pay you off, even if you don’t get screwed with the introduction of means testing. You can hate me, or you can try to take steps to soften the blow. Your choice.

NO! Don't be a hater. You got it right: The government has done its job of divide and conquer using our money.
Don't play their game, don't let them win.The government is the number one threat to our lives, not our neighbors. We the people need to stick together.
Keep on getting the word out!
I understand it's all monopoly money. Right now as long as the monopoly money from my state pension, (opps! I mean welfare) can pay the silly banker who locked in single digit payments, I'll be fine. (It's a tiny mortgage, about 1/4 the real property value, but it's a debt all the same) I've accepted that for real things, I'll have to trade skills and goods. Well along that path now.
Yes, I've my grain and grinder.
Oh, ye of little faith.
Bush had eight years to destroy America, let's give President Obama a chance. The president's stimulus package is making a huge difference for millions of Americans. Give the President a little more time, he has a big mess to clean up.
Stop being so negative.
Although we have differing views on our path to the END, I would say that we are definitely reading the same book. Being an engineer means that I look at things...logically, and this (USA) system can no longer support itself. It is that simple. Input vs output. No one wants to hear about actually taking responsibility for their actions and having to live with the consequences. Me, me, me, me, me.
Right on!!!!
With the phony money being printed to pay all the lazy welfare cheats, I almost look forward to the collapse. But then again, the working man will just have to work a little harder and do with out a little more.
Just once, I would like to see the overpaid government employees do their jobs. Check into some of this fraud that is being done. If you get money for rent and food, Why is there never any follow up to see if the money is being used for its intended purposes. Run credit checks, see how many move around after being evicted for non-payment.
Legalized stealing!! Oh the life!
hahaahahhshshsh, I just got it "Jane you ignorant slut", hahahahhaha hahahahahhahahahahh
I take it you resent the fact that the people who have paid into social security all their lives may actually live long enough to enjoy some of the benefits they have paid for? Maybe it is time for you to do some real deep thinking.
If the government were to have to repay the contributors to the programs, we should consider such options as adjusting for the true inflation rate, compounding interest, etc. on not just the money directly contributed by the individual, but also the matching amount paid in by their employer in their name. If they had that back, they would have enough to invest in this falling economy to help it back on it's feet.
Is that too deep for you youngsters to understand ? We seniors had no real input as to how the government would squander our money in the general fund that was instead supposed to contribute directly to our welfare in our older age. Wake Up !
That's the signature line from the Saturday Night Live spoof on the old ending segment from 60 minutes.
Please help me remember: in 60 minutes,it was James Kilpatrick versus Jane who? Thanks.
Boy, one day i give you a compliment and the next day your back to your senseless tirades. I really don't think working through your issues with a online journal is doing you much good.
The national debt is 13 trillion with another 50 trillion in hidden debt. No one ever talks about what the United States is worth. A little time spent dwelling on the positive side of the ledger would reveal that while it's true we waste money like toilet paper we are still solvent and own 20 times what we owe.
As far as all the benefit-entitlement-welfare arguement. I have stated my opinion on that previously and will willingly give the last word to the bison with the great fucking hair, blah, blah, blah!
If the U.S.A. quit wasting money on the largest defense budget in the world, feeding every wetback that sneaks into our country, god damn universal health care we could afford to take care of our parents and grandparents without putting a unnecessary burden on J.D.
Ill give Obama credit,i didnt think anyone could be worse than Jimmy Carter.RW
We have known it for years, the baby boomers will grumble about how you owe them because they paid for grandpa's retirement. All because the so-called "great generation" was too ignorant and too naive to understand that their "hero" that bastard FDR shoveled socialism down their gullets.
Then the ignorant and selfish baby-boomers did not hang all the political whores when LBJ made it worse with the "great society" (read that as great redistribution). Then they all bowed down when Reagan sold them a bunch of hyperbole about "conservatism" (he never was) and let the neocons (read neo-Trotskyites) start to take over the ignorant and unaware "conservatives".
Now they all get to watch as they let something they had that was good turn into the mess we have now...
I get tired of all the old farts (like myself) bitch about how bad the "younger generation" is - go piss up a rope, none of them were old enough to vote for either of the above mentioned three letter presidents, or to have raised themselves. Don't blame the kids for your screw-ups!
Both LBJ and FDR should be dug up and ground into urinal cakes so we all can piss on them.
This is good advice then and now.

I have a knit cap, unlined nylon
AF raincoat, space blanket with
neckhole for poncho liner, and
lightweight hooded poncho. Good
basic shelter; and takes little room
in my bicycle daypack.
I had no clue where the SNL line came from. Also, we have no wealth, just skimming from the global ponzi scheme we controlled since WWII, which of course is ending. We might have trillions a year for Obammy to spend but it is all Monopoly money. Most real assets are just oil dependent. Don't be like a stiff lip Englishmen on the eve of WWI admiring his vast empire-it is all illusion.
I am a SS recipient (I will be 67 next month). I have resented contributing to SS all my life. I always recognized the politicians used the money to buy votes and made the system bankrupt. I considered myself lucky to get anything but since I am on the leading edge of the baby boom generation I at least got into the system before it crashes. In theory the SS system could have been managed for the benefit of the citizens but clearly it has been managed for the benefit of the politicians. I guess my biggest gripe as I look ahead to the collapse of the SS system is I fully expect the politicians to tell us we all must share the pain as they end my SS payments but at the same time somehow "rescue" the many permutations of welfare for the lazy and indolent. I also anticipate the same thing with our new socialized health care. I fully expect to be denied life saving care one day because after all I will be too old to be worth saving but at the same time "free" health care will be handed out to illegals. We are all at fault! We all vote and it was the politicians we elected who destroyed our country. And make no mistake they have destroyed it. If you honestly believe we can simply cut off SS and make all the many other sacrifices we will have to make and survive you are mistaken. This is a "symptom" of the problem it is NOT the problem. It is a done deal we are merely along for the ride towards the precipice. The ignorant and unaware think they are on an amusement center ride but we are not. It is later then you think.
Do you have a recommended vendor for the 6 month supply of grain? I live on an island and don't have a local source.

I've used em and love em. You know up front what the shipping cost will be. Perhaps a bit high but honest and reliable.
