void where prohibited by law

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW

I love the old Libertarian battle cry, “Bill Of Rights, void where prohibited by law”. Not that I believe the Libertarians have a chance in Hell of changing a single law above dog catching ordinances, but you have to at least admire their dedication and spunk. The Tea Party is just a sick and twisted joke, being nothing more than a badly hidden front of the Republicans to fool the room temperature IQ crowd that a “new and improved” party will actually change anything. They won’t even change the nature of the debate about switching the order in which the deck chairs are arranged on the Titanic let alone even touch one. And the Libertarians are a “half-pregnant” organization. They aren’t total freedom ( pregnant ), nor for “too much” government ( not pregnant ). They are trying to be “just right”. But despite their intellectual constipation at least they truly care and aren’t in the game for selfish reasons. Anyway, having sufficiently distanced myself away from any political party, let’s talk about today’s newest and greatest Supreme Court screw job.

*

I won’t get started on how the Supreme Court usurped its original intention, how the “justices” are just pawns to the Executive, blah, blah. You can wave the flag elsewhere because I ain’t listening to your false patriotism BS ( being patriotic is love of country, not its government-all mouth breathers wishing to comment to the contrary please save your breath and my time ). You all should know by now that I believe the whole government is nothing but a homegrown mix of National Socialism, Communism and Mercantilism. It happened long ago and there isn’t a snow cones chance in hell of every going back. Best just to let it self-destruct rather than wasting time arguing otherwise. It certainly doesn’t warrant spilling your blood over since 90% of the population will cheer for the Feds to hang your butt. However, having said all that, at times it still takes me by surprise when there happens to be yet another blatant disregard for the Bill Of Rights. More surprising is when people simply could care less. I shouldn’t be surprised, but being intellectually ready is not the same as having no response when the event actually transpires. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our system is on the way down ( and, to the commenter that thinks that our national assets are hundreds of trillions, try selling your depreciated house at what you think it should be worth ) but it will still be a shock when it happens.

*

The Supreme Court has said that it is now okay for a state to extend a prison term beyond that which was given at the time of sentencing. Why? Because sex offenders are such a danger to the community it is okay to keep them locked up forever. Some warn that this MIGHT be the start down a slippery slope. I say, it PROVES we are now going down the slippery slope. We could point out hundreds of examples of previous court cases setting a precedence for this ( to include Japanese internment ), but let’s just stick with recent history. You start with accused terrorists. They are funny sounding foreigners so it’s a-okay with everyone. Then, you start in on American citizens with funny names. As long as it sounds Arabic/Muslim it is okay, since they are obviously about to blow up Disneyland in the name of Allah ( remember, Disney was behind the ridiculous copyright extension using their bought off Hippy Whore politician so don’t be surprised if it comes out they are also behind the War On Terror- anything to keep the profits coming in ). Then, you target sex offenders for lifetime sentencing at the whims of those holding them. What is next?

*

Remember, this progression only took about five years. Who gets it next year? Gun owners? Just because there are two hundred million ( or whatever the number is ) guns in the US doesn’t mean the majority are gun owners. Most gunners own five to ten guns, and the households with just one gun usually have household members opposing that ownership ( my God, Frank! Think of the children! ), so don’t think we are the majority. That we are safe. How about free speech advocates? If you can’t whisper, mime or draw on a cocktail napkin “bomb”, what makes you think you can undermine public support and solidarity by mocking our Commander In Chief indefinitely. That isn’t far fetched, as WWI saw free speech unfavorable to the Bankers War effort made illegal. And it doesn’t matter who the next group is, because even if you aren’t one of them your turn will come soon enough. Now, let’s do away with any sympathy for this law.

*

Besides the fact that retroactively changing a sentence is so obviously wrong, please look at the crime itself. Child pornography. Yes, extremely sick and wrong and whoever does it is the worst kind of pervert. But who is actually harmed by it? If it is just posed pictures rather than a documentation of a hurtful activity, who was harmed? It is looking at pictures, which themselves might not even be authentic. I’m not excusing the activity, I’m asking why, if no one was actually harmed, it justifies a potential life sentence? It is, if a victimless crime ( and notice I keep say IF- I don’t have the particulars ), a political crime pure and simple. Are you such a spineless puke that you are afraid to stand up to this kind of power abuse, just because the crime makes us all so uncomfortable? If someone had pictures of my baby girl and was being perverted with them, I sure as hell would beat him within an inch of his life. But going to prison forever? If the punishment does not fit the crime, the entire justice system is abused. Should we go back to Olde England and hang a thief that stole a loaf of bread?

*

And let’s not forget than consensual sex with a seventeen year old is considered in some states grounds for imprisonment and the label “sex crime”. I’m not saying we can change any of this. I’m not saying “take to the streets”. I’m merely suggesting that your passive acceptance of this crap makes it all that much easier for you to be the next victim. So, go ahead, stop reading this blog because you want the Bill Of Rights to be suspended for certain activities you don’t like. I’ll be glad to see you go. The rest of you, please try to think for yourself and direct your rage where it belongs.

We really don't have a Constitution/Bill of Rights. We have only a Supreme Court. The Constitution is whatever they say it is at any given moment (they overule previous decisions).

One look at the honey Obama just nominated tells you it ain't going to get any better soon.

I’m in total agreement. Our government is a total corrupt failure, irreparable and the end is coming for all of us. The only hope we have ahead of us is the Generals get together, bring the troops home, surround Washington, arrest every member of the House, Senate, Supreme Court, Fed Reserve, all their employees and oh yes Osammy then hang all of them within 24 hours.
This would only be the beginning as there are the investment houses, credit card companies etc, etc next in line for the rope. Then we can start over fresh following the Constitution and Bill of Rights as written.
Until then, I’m stashing away as much as I can so I can move next to you then sit back and watch the all the people eat themselves!

By degrees the sheep will be sheered until permission will be needed to leave the house. The former US is ruled by fear. And as far as pedophiles are concerned like in all else those at the top hate competition.

Soon we will have sentences for petty crimes that have no max limit. Prison labor is even cheaper than hiring illegals.

On a different note a reliable family member told me that in Alabama there are a lot of jobs but for many you have to speak Spanish to even apply for them.

What country do you live in?

I agree that we are marching down that slippery slope pretty damn fast towards the Bill of Rights being subverted whenever it "just seems right". Not sure we can halt that, as you say, just have to keep on living our lives as best we can, I guess.
As for your example of pedophiles, online pics of children and statutory rape; if you were looking for a more incendiary topic to discuss I'm not sure of a better one to pick.
Its hard to be on the side of sex offenders, especially once you have a little girl of your own, but I do see the point you're trying to make is that eventually one of the groups they decide to go after will include you and your loved ones and by then it will be too late to call a halt to the trodding upon the constitution since you allowed it meekly for those other groups you thought "didnt deserve protection". Not sure how you fix that one either.
I can live on my little patch of land and try and be self sufficient, but they are even trying to regulate home gardening and small farm animals, and I will always owe someone taxes....
Its hard to escape the system.
Keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground, its only gonna get more random from here on out.

P.S. Apropos of nothing, If someone hurts my little girl, I will make their death look like an accident.

Ever since Jimmy Carter decided that "illegal aliens" should be called "undocumented workers" because we don't want to hurt their precious little feelings, all has been lost.

When ILLEGAL WETBACKS sneaking into our country became a "civil rights" issue it was already to late. Sneaking into America Illegally is not a civil rights issue any more than selling heroin is a civil rights issue.

If war broke out between the US Mexico whose side would you be on? That question should be on the citizenship test.

As long as Americans don't want to make beds, cut grass, wash dishes or work for McDonalds there will be a need for cheap workers. If every motel chain in America got fined one million dollars for each maid with no green card, guess what! there would be no more illegal wetbacks working in motels. Duh!

"liberal pinko commie fags" (WHINERS)don't give a damn about you, the environment, our freedoms, our health or any of the rest of the social issues they wave the flag for. They care about the fucking money just like everybody else.

Yep the police state is coming or is already here for some crimes. These sexual predator crimes are mostly BS anyway especially towards men, which is their point anyway.

I am sure it is not going to stop there either.

Sure hope the resistance gets organized soon.

Don't get too full of yourself but your last few articles have been much higher quality.

I still suggest that you take some of your bean money and visit some of your loved one's, I think summer of 2011 will be a very expensive one.

Like any concept or idea, people have to believe in it and act in accordance to give it power. The constitution has lost its power b/c few people understand its value anymore, weakened by relative ease, mind numbing High fructose, and mind numbing reality TV or tweets about their favorite celeb going to a coffee shop.

The real answer is to change sentencing to match the crime. The guide lines are a hundred years out of date, but changing them would be to much work for the fat judges sucking on the gov tit.

I will be so glad when the federal govt gets our of our hair. Everyday there is a new law that tells us what we cannot do. I heard that the city council in New York passes a law to ban salt in restaurants. If this is indeed true, it makes me want to live in a hut on the Fiji islands. I feel like I woke up and everyone in Washington had their brains taken over by aliens. It's a collective hive mind thing like the Borg. All three houses of the Federal Govt are inflicted with it.

As to your topic, you are right on target. What is happening here is that they are testing us by removing one right or freedom at a time. It's obvious that in time each and every one of them will be gone. What is the use in sentencing someone for a crime if you can just throw the key away on a whim ?
