CAVEMAN DIETS

Today’s not on topic subject is a big and hearty thank you to Gene for his generous donation. The number three spot on the Bisonia governing council was already reserved for him, so any further donations aren’t even necessary but he still comes through. Now, I know what you are thinking. Jim, you sigh wearily and role your eyes, your hair doesn’t really look that nice and why would anyone want to play second fiddle to you? First of all, my hair is perfect. PERFECT!!, I tell you. And second, it isn’t about playing second fiddle to me but about getting placed at the top of the food chain so you can take over some day. Look at Hilary Clinton. She is number four in the line of succession in the event of catastrophe taking out the President. As I pointed out last year ( you heard it here first ) all those above her had better watch out because that bitch is pure evil. Look at when she was President the first time. Anyone that knew about their drug deal connections, anyone that knew about their ties with the Supreme Galactic Alien Overlords, and anyone that ever made fun of her vertical stripe polyester slacks in college all ended up dying in plane crashes or suicided. This time around the collapse is close enough that she will actually be able to take over for life. Although, that could be the intentions of TPTB rather than simply just her design. Although I’m opting for her working alone. The Bankers have chosen their Head Puppet, Obammy. Look at the parallels between him and Hitler. Both were unknowns. Hitler a painter and odd-jobsman. Obammy a slightly retarded but pretty ghetto kid. Obammy put through college, did a bit of law, then suddenly skyrockets in politics. Hitler, a minor crap stirrer who suddenly gets a following. Hitler, a foreigner from Austria. Obammy, a foreigner from Africa. So similar it’s scary. But I think Hilary is a wild card, put in place by Lucifer ( I have insider info here. Wife #2, the Handmaiden Of Lucifer, was talking in her sleep about her part with The Dark One years ago ).

A loyal minion got my attention by flattering me and blowing smoke up my bum, so I felt obligated to write on the subject he brought up. Okay, it was actually interesting, since it is something different. He wanted to know my opinion on the Caveman Diet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleolithic_diet#Protein_and_carbohydrates

I hadn’t paid attention to that fad, as my diet is the “can’t afford fast food, or gas to commute to work” plan which keeps me at a sexy slenderness envied by most. I try not to bring it up too often, as you all are already insanely jealous of my hair and that would just be rubbing salt into the wound. And you say I don’t try to be nice. Anyway, I read the Wiki entry, or rather skimmed it quickly, and as is my want came up with a half baked thought, quickly formatted an opinion and chose to force my conclusions onto you. Why? What does this have to do with anything? The thinking goes that in the fast approaching die-off ( which I swear I’ll still claim to be fast approaching in twenty years if we are all still around- hey, it isn’t about being wrong about being paranoid as much as it is being wrong by being optimistic ) we might go back to sparsely populated hunter-gatherers. If so, does the popularly perceived Caveman Diet make sense as far as what we will be eating? The Wiki article pointed out a lot of problems with the diet, which is to be expected with today’s currently accepted fad of high carb, low fat officially approved diet. I’ll let you just read the Wiki article and draw your own conclusions. Here are mine.

The caveman diet is basically a high protein, no grain/no dairy/no processed food diet. Root veggies, fruits, at least 25% lean meats, nuts. It isn’t that this is a bad diet, with a few reservations, but it isn’t realistically what cavemen ate and it could be improved. First of all, how do you think grains came to be eaten? All the bison were overhunted and then, suddenly, people noticed wild wheat or millet or corn hanging around waiting to be eaten? I don’t think so. The human animal was designed to eat anything and everything, and wild grains would have been eaten in times of lean. That is how they were known to be nutritious and delicious once humans got so numerous they had to take the low road of agriculture to survive ( hunting wasn’t glamorous or high prestige or any of that other crap- humans crave meat because it is such a valuable food ). You definitely need meat, and lots of it ( the combo of grains and legumes will keep you alive, but it doesn’t match animal flesh- it is a Better Than Nothing ), but you can’t eat it exclusively without complications. The other side of the “eat anything” survival mechanism is that we must be omnivores for optimal heath. And, just as too much meat is bad for you, so too is too much plant food. You must mix and match. The Caveman Diet isn’t bad, but adding grains, as long as they are whole, won’t hurt at all. And I don’t really think dairy is all that bad for you. Look at the French, with their extremely high cholesterol-in-dairy diet. Their wine intake counteracts that and their diet is not bad. The dairy also substitutes for the low meat rations, which is a much better diet than exclusively plant such as in the Orient. If you can’t eat enough meat because of population density, just eat the animals milk rather than its flesh.

Meat and potatoes isn’t as bad of a diet as suggested by the bunny food eaters. Eat plenty of whole grain for breakfast and lunch ( with a little dairy ), add in other root crops, some sauerkraut, green leaf veggies, citrus. Get plenty of exercise, modest amounts of junk food if any. It isn’t rocket science. Balance and avoiding extremes.

Personally if I was to forgo grains and be 'on the move' doing 'take out' which involves whatever I kill as I go it would be something similar to the Inuit diet.

On a side note how about adapting "Get a Haircut" by George Thorogood for the website?
