Right before I left to visit family, the $200 car rental putting a nice dent in my savings account, my web site company left a Nasty-Gram informing me that I had exceeded my bandwidth allotment. Okay, they were actually nice about it, in effect letting me owe them ( I had to upgrade plans ). I’ve always had good experiences with them, and if you are thinking of your own web site which caters to the novice ( it’s a no-programming needed set up ) I recommend http://www.domainnamesanity.com/ . I hadn’t thought anything of tripling my pictures on the site, but evidently a large number of minions wanted to see the new and improved Bison Compound and so my bandwidth use soared ten times. I had to upgrade from beginner to maximum use ( from 1 meg to ten ). This doubled my cost per year from $60 to $120. Now, I don’t share this with you expecting you to really give two craps. I’m sure you have your own problems, like the evil spouse being unwilling to let you buy something as simple as a bag of corn or a large arsenal of semi-automatic battle rifles. Not that your problems are in reality worse than mine, but that is the illusion you have. No, I share this with you because I need to start expanding my web pages to get some use out of my increased payments. I’m going to make one page the book on apocalypse movies ( Apocalypse 20 Movie Pack ). I’ve sold six copies in a year and it is simply embarrassing to try to sell it for profit. No one wants to spend money on it so I might as well just put it up for free. I’ll put the Amazon links for the DVD’s on it so hopefully I can eventually pay back the costs of renting all the movies for review. But don’t pressure me, I’ll get it posted as soon as I can. Sure, you’re excited about it now that it is going to be free. Bastards! I’m also thinking of doing a page on post-apocalypse book ( American Apocalypse: The Beginning (Volume 1) ) reviews. I can start making a list this weekend. Let me know if there is something else you would like to see introduced to the web site ( no, not a novel- I don’t have the time for that ).

Even if we never see hyper-inflation ( 1923 GERMANY HYPER INFLATION 100.000.000 / 100 Millions Mark very fine ), a much smaller increase in the money supply can still screw you over. Right now we aren’t seeing currency inflation ( increase in money supply by adding zeros into the computers ) so much as we are seeing price inflation due to resource depletion. Oil, ore, food and water are disappearing quicker than a politicians promises ( or the birth certificate for Obammy ). Wait for the economy to really take a big stinking steaming dump and the federales have no choice but to create more ObammyBucks and then we will get a double whammy. Other items, especially processed consumer foods, are seeing shrinking package size, and these get a lot of attention masquerading as inflation. Personally, I think it is more the cost of mega-mergers ( Mega Merger ) being paid for by the customers. Perhaps, maybe, corporations would pass on savings through mergers. But they passed that point long ago. Now their biggest cost is trying to pay the interest on all those merger loans, and a shrinking customer base compounds their problems. They are raising costs to survive, not because their material or labor costs are rising. They drank the grape Kool-Aid of expanding debt and are now chocking on the poison. There is your third “inflation”. Resources are dwindling, corporations are trying to pay off loans with less sales and the government can only pay bills through creating money. Have fun, cause it has just started.

Here is another minion inspired article. A bit of information about Nevada for those thinking about moving here. I’ve covered this before but the usual response of the average minion reading my divine wisdom is to cover their ears and scream loudly, “I’m not listening, I’m not listening” and them doing the “la-la-la-la” so no outside noise filters through. Nevada is not the cowboy outpost it once was. It is no longer the Mecca of Decadence it once was with casinos, brothels and bars catering to the tourists. Now, after two decades of GOTT-DAMN CALIFORNICATORS taking over the place it is a haven for Yuppie Scum ( Die Yuppie Scum Dark T-Shirt ). Now, I was born and raised in California. I narrowly escaped after several tries and I’ll never go back regardless of the incentive. An actress from Baywatch who was a virgin, a gourmet cook and independently wealthy could send me a check for a million dollars to move in with her, a pre-nup that left me everything, and all the sex my middle age heart could take and I still wouldn’t move back to California. I hate the place for its politics and culture. And I really hate the pukes that got rich off the government, bought real estate, sold it at inflated prices and moved out of state and polluted all the surrounding West with higher cost of living and liberal attitudes that poisoned local politics. They totally screwed up Nevada. But then, all western states took a dive for the worst and so, on relative terms, Nevada still isn’t as bad as most other places. If you think you can escape the idiot legions of crackheads, they are all over the state. Yuppies are everywhere. I mean, everywhere. They moved in like whites on an Indian reservation ( TRADITIONS OF THE NORTH AMERICAN INDIANS Vol.1 ) looking for silver or gold. If you are looking for a Caucasian haven, go elsewhere. Mexicans ( the legals ) are 25% of the population. I like that, myself. They are an outstanding culture to associate with, being for the most part hard working and humble. In comparison, the whites are usually on drugs, on welfare or Yuppies.

Prices are insane here, especially real estate. Most of the land is federally owned so the remainder is high priced. Jobs. What jobs? We are some of the worst unemployment nationally outside of Detroit ( Doctor Detroit ). The weather just plain sucks. 10% of the land around Las Vegas is hotter than Hades and the rest is butt cold six months out of the year. Taxes at least are pretty tolerable, at least for now. And gun laws are pretty lenient. Not as nice as New Hampshire ( or is it Vermont?-the no-permit for concealed carry place ) or Montana, but close enough. Compared to most other places, the state government isn’t excessive. There is still a small ember of freedom kept alive. Most areas don’t allow much freedom in zoning, although Elko county does. That is why I picked it originally. Outside city limits there are no restrictions on travel trailers ( Travel-Trailer Homesteading Under $5,000 ). Buildings under 100 square feet require no permit. But the biggest draw to me about this state is there are almost no other people. If you stay out of Vegas, Reno or Carson you are all alone in glorious seclusion. As covered before, if you knock out the border area cities, the Great Basin is almost as low in population density as Alaska. Granted, I’m here in Elko with twenty thousand screaming jerk bag idiot mouth breathing pukes. The price of needing a job to support the ex-wife.

Avoid areas without surface water. Montello seems to be a nice secluded area in the northeast corner, but it relies on wells. And I would advise against moving here without an outside source of income. At least have the land paid for and a good amount of savings. It will be hard to get a job. And if you move here expecting to be hired by the mines you are an idiot. Locals with connections have a long waiting period. You have less chance of being hired. I don’t feel like giving you food bank food so you can eat on your way back whence you came. Don’t expect to farm here, not successfully. If you import soil nutrients you can grow potatoes, and that is about it. This is herding country, not farm country. I like the state, despite all its problems. Having elbow room is such a great feeling. And come the collapse, a lot less people you have to shoot ( plus, afterwards there is a big empty buffer between you and the rest of the country ).
