) is rendered worthless because the hunk of junk plastic cap blows the rubber like gasket or the dog chews up one side of it? I need replacement caps. So I go to Amazon and the only thing they seem to carry are discontinued thermos caps. In any case they certainly don’t carry the same kind of cap that the “made in Korea” Wal-Mart generic wide mouth thermos uses. Have any of you come across a source for this cap? Please let me know so I don’t have to grumble and slip voodoo curses your way.*

If the collapse was engineered to reduce the resource users, you are expendable. You will be allowed to die. You contribute nothing to their wealth. All of the population is expendable. And if they can’t see a reason to conserve what is left ( and why would they unless it makes them a profit? ) and continue with business as usual, we will see that waterfall collapse as we wake up one day and nothing is available to feed us. Just a sudden thought: If we are expendable, and TPTB send out their SS types to gather my resources to stock their Castles, what happens when THOSE resources get used up? There is only so much Forage available. Just look at how many millions of North Koreans are being used to prop up the Kim Dynasty today. One would think that TPTB must realize that, no matter how many Fanatics they have on their payroll, eventually the smart ones will leave the Fuhrer Bunker and take their chances on the Outside. Or are TPTB so arrogant that they think they are immune to the Praetorian Guards? Food for thought.
Also, check your local listings for House. Think it's gone for a few weeks, maybe the World Series?

I have a friend that's very excited about politics. He thinks Obama is so evil and that the socialists are taking over and the tea partiers have a point.
Since I discovered "collapse", politics seems less and less relevant to me... no future in it. I am not sure that storing stuff for the coming doom is going to work, but it sure seems better than trying to figure out which clueless and powerless twat to vote for.

Try to configure your life on the "pick up and RUN!!" basis. If you have to have a computer, have a laptop - my own personal collapse means I'm only on the 'net now because I have one, with wireless. Do not configure your life such that income depends on the 'net or even the electrical grid being up. You will have to resolve to live on 5%-1% of your former income. It's awful but ..... do it.
