RUBBER HANDS
Thank you, Gene. I got your generous donation in the snail mail this weekend. I think it is going to go to unprimed 303 brass (
Unprimed Brass .303 British
), one area I’m slacking on. Does anyone have a company that is cheap and reliable to recommend, better than the above link? The last minion cash donation is going to make a nice Christmas present for the wife. I mail ordered her a full length wool pea coat (
Phistic Women's Double Breasted Cashmere Blend Pea Coat - Pecan 10
), but the cash will supplement her gambling and drinking habit ( playing the penny slots she can go an hour on a few bucks, including the tip for the alcohol beverage ). At work a co-worker bought me a Mad Bomber (
Supplex Bomber W/Grey Fur Hat - M - GREY
) brand commie cap ( the one like Elmer Fudd wore, but thicker with rat or rabbit hair ). That bad boy was roasting my head like an egg, but it was a pretty balmy 30 degrees. I’ll wait until it gets a lot colder to see if I’m going to replace my layers of beanie caps. I normally despise Christmas with every fiber of my being since the kids have outgrown it and it means work is a lot more work ( a couple of jobs ago the flaming whores started shipping us Christmas crap in JULY!! Which started my hatred for the holiday ) but with the rat cap and last weeks homemade fudge gift ( the very best of holiday food other than fruit cake ) I might soften my position slightly for a short period of time.

I know TV is a mind altering drug (
High Society: The Central Role of Mind-Altering Drugs in History, Science, and Culture
), but that is why I like it. At the end of a hard day laboring in the salt mine for minimum wage, while at the same time pushing my brain to the brink trying to come up with yet more earth shattering drivel, it is nice to turn off my brain for a few hours. Of course, that also means my productivity is shot to crap. Lately, during an abnormally wet and warm winter ( most winters here are six months- it looks like this one might only be three ) almost every friggin day is pure clouds, so there is not close to enough sunny days for the TV to be on. I’m reading a lot more than normal. One of the books this weekend was “King Leopold’s Ghost”(
King Leopold's Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa
). It wasn’t a bad read at all, describing the Belgium occupation of the Congo. They weren’t any more cruel there than the Portuguese, French or German tropical colonies, but the Congo became the first international do-gooder protest/public opinion nightmare. Citizens were really up in arms over the human rights abuses. For good reason of course, reliable estimates guess that half the population died, going from twenty to ten million of the poor bastards. It was little more than forced labor prior to death, with bullets being shipped in and ivory and rubber being shipped out. Even the soldiers were conscripts, and every round of ammunition had to be accounted for. Obviously, if you are a white minority trying to control millions of oppressed blacks, even owning machine guns, it wouldn’t do to have your soldiers stockpiling ammunition in anticipation of a rebellion. This led to the practice of cutting off hands as proof that the expended bullet was put to proper use.

So, lets say you were a security force soldier and you were a bit hungry after marching all over the friggin jungle. You see some bush meat and start drooling over a BBQ (
America's Best BBQ: 100 Recipes from America's Best Smokehouses, Pits, Shacks, Rib Joints, Roadhouses, and Restaurants
). You kill the baboon, but still must account for the round. You just find the next slow moving civilian and chop off his hand. You figure you’re being a swell guy, giving the fool a fifty/fifty chance of living ( assuming he doesn’t bleed out or get infected ). There were other fun activities such as whippings for minor infractions that were enough to kill you. And, of course, kidnapping one’s wife to compel the husbands to go gather rubber. Leopold knew that as soon as his rivals got their rubber plantations up and running his wild rubber cultivation would become unprofitable. So there was a need to hurry up and get as much rubber as possible. Bonuses were given to supervisors that met quotas. Now, a wild rubber vine, if nicked, slowly dribbles out the rubber ( or whatever the substance is [latex?] that is turned into rubber ), heals and is then able to survive and produce more. These poor bastards didn’t have the luxury of waiting for that, so they just completely severed the vine to get a lot more quicker. This had the unfortunate side effect of killing the vine. So naturally it was outlawed. But if they didn’t meet the quota they didn’t see their wives again, or were beaten until dead. Screwed either way. And of course, just to rub salt in the wound, a few years later when WWI started, the Belgium’s acted all butt hurt about alleged atrocities ( later proven false ) from Germans.

So, come the collapse, a few lessons for you. First, as I keep saying but you ignore me as you clutch that AR-15 (
The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide
) to your chest chanting an incantation of protection, “semi-auto will save me, semi-auto will save me”, a farmer tied down to the soil is a prime target. Even before you plant the first crop you had better have a bullet proof plan on defense. And a loner defense ain’t going to cut it. You had better make sure both you and your neighbors have the capacity to turn out a ten to twenty percent surplus to pay for a military. Anyway, so as not to get too sidetracked on that subject, farming will feed you, but not protect you without bribing a ruler. Second, while we won’t see a repeat of the Congo, with severed hands and rhinoceros hide whips, we will always see indecent human behavior that fits the economic need of the stronger group. Then, holding wives hostage worked to compel forced labor. Next, who knows? Currently, forced behavioral modification is ensured by the threat of kidnapping ones children and giving them to “suitable” parents. In the future? Use your imagination. You will somehow be given a bad choice and a worse choice. If you are overwhelmed by force. Which is one of the reasons I preach bad behavior towards those not of your tribe. It sucks to be evil, but you can’t just promise to hurt those that would hurt you. Most of the time you must hurt first as a lesson ( a lot of the bombing campaign in Vietnam had no immediate strategic use, but shortly thereafter at the negotiating table [ in unrelated-to-the-war talks ] it was well known that the crazy bastard Uncle Sam had no problem bullying so things went more his way )

Remember, it isn’t always simple weapons that determine domination as much as the entire infrastructure (
Too Big to Fall: America's Failing Infrastructure and the Way Forward
) behind them. Machine guns wouldn’t have done much good without first having navies and railroads and especially anti-malarial drugs. Learn from the unfortunate suffering of those in the past.

re takedown rifles
If I had one rifle after TEOTWAWKI I choose M1 Garand 3006. Remove trigger group. Barreled action 32". Stock 30". Remove one round from en bloc clip. Load a clip of seven and close bolt on the empty chamber. (The chamber is empty, and rifle cannot fire unless trigger group is secured to barrelled action.) Place rifle in a bag perhaps marked TENT POLES, or in a duffel bag. It takes only seconds to join stock and barrelled action, secure trigger group, click safety ON, and work the bolt to chamber a round. https://m1collectorsclub.com/M1_Garand.html
You will recall that Mountain Rifleman's subsonic loads are very quiet.

My Marlin M25 22LR rifle barreled action 28-1/2", and stock 29." If that is not too long, you need not cut the barrel or stock. Omit rear assembly screw and secure 3" wide
washer to forward assembly screw.

I hate Christmas because Christians push and shove their way through the store, slamming and banging their shopping carts into each other and me.
Then after damn near knocking you down they have the fucking nerve to stand there with a shit eating grin and say merry fucking christmas.
Most christians are too ignorant to realize they stole the holiday from pagans celebrating the winter solstice.
Then in a few months you have to put up with more of their overbearing crap for Easter! Another holiday they stole from the pagans. What does chocolate bunnies and nailed jews have in common? Money! the real reason for the season!
Bison got all teary-eyed because he got some presents so I'll take over the job of resident asshole for one day.
Happy Holidays everyone!Three more days till this shit is over with.YEAH
