Here and there I would babble about the high likelihood of a grocery store near you shutting down. As things stand presently most areas, at least urban ones, have an excess of grocery stores. Our poor dears tooling around in SUV’s need to stop at a neighbor store to buy the brood deep fried organic free range chicken for dinner, what with a two income family and soccer practice for the fat little uncoordinated bastards and all. They are simply too important to either cook themselves or to drive any distance to buy dinner. So a profusion of competing grocery stores have opened, catering to these pampered pukes, the profits from ready made, convenience, luxury foods paying the rent and salaries. They sure as heck ain’t staying in business charging ten cents of profit on a bag of flour to the ghetto customers. But as with all things tied into the 90’s cheap oil glut or the 00’s credit binge and the housing bubble, this trend was unsustainable. There might be room for the upper end customers and the poor bitches, but the middle class shopper is an endangered species. When I drove through Carson City on my trip down south I noticed one such middle class store out of business. The regional chain is still in business, one store 20 miles away still serving the more affluent bedroom community, but that store is closed. Which, if memory serves me right, brings the city of 60k grocery store total down to seven. Our burg of 18k has four grocery stores. As does that bedroom community. You do the math. Even with a higher customer count, they can’t keep as many stores open. Since Carson was one of the bellweathers for Yuppie Scum flocking to Nevada from California, I see other areas flowing suite. Luxury and convenience are no longer as profitable to the general population. I love the smell of burning paradigms in the morning.

NPR, bless their little Commie hearts may they burn in Hell after their funding is cut, had one of their typical “oh good lord Baby Jesus, save us from ourselves” reports. It seems that Chicago is having an uptick in the numbers of non school, child shootings. Something like 700 kids last year got shot ( they didn’t say if their definition of a child was under 18 or if they took after the example set by the CDC drumming up support for gun control so they redefined child as being up to age 21- way to inflate casualty figures by including 19 year old gang bangers created by the governments War On Drugs ). Of those, sixty some odd died. To rectify this travesty, the city was spending $20 million on education programs. Which didn’t help, since the numbers just rose from the previous year. I guess more shooters got the idea from the city. Why, sure, I’ll bust a cap in Tyrone Junior, what a good idea, yo. Most folks would just shrug their shoulders, thank the dear lord their ass wasn’t so stupid as to live in that crap hole, wish all the luck to the mayor combating this evil, and move on with their lives. But that is why I’m here, to remind you that your fellow man is a scum sucking ass whore.

The city officials have absolutely no interest in saving the poor minority children in the ghettos ( even if the city officials are themselves minorities, I imagine the prevailing attitude is that they view themselves as House Negroes and their constituents as Field Negroes and hence unworthy of their notice or compassion ) from being killed. Saving children is fairly expensive, what with actually hiring beat cops rather than police politicians or city office drones. Since the politicians and drones are already hired, there is no room in the budget for actual enforcement. And what money does filter down to the street is usually earmarked for SWAT teams getting federal money and equipment so they can practice asset forfeiture in drug raids to get more money for the city to operate. Enforcement of all non-drug related crimes ( shooting over turf don’t count if there are no actual drugs involved at the time ) does not pay. But creating programs to solve these crimes does. Programs like studies and school lecture circuits. As long as nothing tangible needs to be done, the city rakes in the cash. In effect, the city allows kids to be killed, creates a half dozen middle class paying positions to shuffle papers, and pockets the difference in the federal grant or state taxpayer money. You might think of individual child prostitution pimps or child murderers as being subhuman, beneath contempt and despicable, but tell me the difference between them and the city of Chicago? Other than official sanction?

And how much less guilty are the parents that won’t move out of this place? Oh, no where near as contemptible, but they share some of the blame. Only ignorance is an excuse, because otherwise they are in effect saying that their child’s safety isn’t as important as their present comfort level, or that they feel comfortable in playing the odds with their kids safety in balance. At least Yuppie Scum will pay for a better neighborhood to increase the child’s safety level. Not that money is the issue. Po folk can move anywhere, having less to tie them down. No home to try to sell, no good paying job. And no excuse for staying in a free fire zone. Now, granted, most of the slain kids are drug dealers or gang members. But even without your city being labeled the most dangerous to kids, doesn’t a high crime rate in general dictate that you move? I’ve moved before to an unknown area with no family near with a bus ticket and a hundred bucks. What is the excuse of the ghetto folk? Too hard to move your welfare payments? I call BS. Get off your lazy ass and move. Note- please don’t even infer that I’m talking about my readers living in some high crime overpopulated city. I would never say anything like that. Ever. Never.
